# Railcode Pricing This file states Railcode's plans and limits in full, for agents and anyone who would rather read the numbers than the page. The page it mirrors is at . Railcode is the secure cloud for internal software: your coding agent builds the tool, Railcode provides the hosting, the company login, storage, AI and the connections. Prices are US dollars, billed monthly. Nothing here is charged per seat. On every paid plan, builders and viewers are unlimited, and the number of people in the company is not an input to the price. ## Plans | Plan | Price | For | | --- | --- | --- | | Free | $0, forever | Personal use and testing out the platform. Four things are, and they are properties of what your software does rather than of who opens it. - **Function executions** — Railcode apps are JavaScript apps with static frontends and serverless backends, and a function execution is one backend code execution. Serving static files is not charged for, so an app with no backend never consumes any usage. - **Stored records** — records held in Railcode's managed database. You are free to use your own databases as well; those are not counted. - **Stored files** — files held in Railcode's managed file (blob) storage. A viewer can open apps they were given explicit permission to and interact with them, but cannot deploy. The data and file storage are managed services, available with no config on every project; use them and records and files are charged above the allowance, or bring your own database and file storage. ## Past the allowance On Team and Pro, usage beyond the plan's allowance is billed at: - **$0.01** per 1,000 function executions - **$0.0001** per stored record - **$0.001** per stored file Nothing is cut off mid-afternoon because a report ran more often than expected. It includes everything on Pro, plus Railcode deployed into your own cloud account — your VPC, your keys, your egress rules — SSO and a custom domain in the price, SAML and SCIM provisioning, custom limits and log retention, audit export to your SIEM, US or EU data residency, an uptime SLA with a named contact, and a security review, DPA and invoicing. The Free plan restricts the number of users: one builder and three viewers. **Is Free a trial?** No. It is free, with no card and no clock, and it has unlimited apps on it. **Can we self-host?** Yes, on Enterprise: Railcode runs inside your own cloud account, the same product. Free, Team and Pro run on Railcode's cloud. **Do you copy our data?** No. A connection holds encrypted credentials scoped to the permissions you grant and the queries your apps are allowed to run. Results are fetched when someone asks for them, and every fetch lands in the audit log with the app, the person and the query that caused it. **What happens to our apps if we leave?** You take them with you: every Railcode app is source code in your own repository.
